Standing Journal - File - Post Batch

Use this option to post the transactions in a standing journal template to the General Ledger. This also prints an audit report of the transactions in the batch.

 

Technical Tip

You can also process scheduled standing journals using the "GL Transactions - Process Standing Journals" option.

  1. Process the standing journal template to completion stage.

Refer to "Managing Completed Standing Journal Templates".

  1. On the Standing Journal screen, check that Total Debits equals Total Credits.
  1. Select FILE | POST BATCH.

Micronet displays the Enter Process Date screen.

  1. Enter or select the processing date then select Ok.

If there are missing details (such as zero amounts) in the standing journal template, Micronet displays the Fill In Blank Payment Details screen, prompting you to complete those details.

  1. Complete the missing details and select the Ok button.

 

Technical Tip

If Total Credits does not equal Total Debits, Micronet displays the following message:

You need to make these figures equal before Micronet will allow you to post the batch.

If Total Credits does equal Total Debits, Micronet displays a message asking you to confirm that you want to process the batch.

  1. Select Yes to post the standing journal batch to the General Ledger immediately, or select No to save the batch for later posting to the General Ledger.

If you select Yes, Micronet posts the transactions to the General Ledger then displays the Select Output Device screen.

  1. Select whether you want the GL Transaction Audit report displayed on screen, printed, saved to a specific type of file, faxed, or emailed in a specific format.

Micronet prints or displays the audit report then redisplays the Standing Journal screen.
